Paste Special – How do I copy and paste and not lose the formatting?

Have you even tried to copy and paste some text from a website only to have it appear in your email or document in a font, size and color you didn’t want?  Then you have to try and duplicate the formatting of the rest of the text to match what you just pasted in.  This can really be a pain.

There is an easy solution.  You may not be aware of the option to “Paste Special” when pasting in text from another source.  On your edit menu in most Microsoft products, right under the Paste option is probably a function you have never noticed.  The Paste Special feature is something that I use on a daily basis and whenever I show someone this little trick they had no idea how easy this is.
